We have the almost unimaginable opportunity to be called friends of God and, to facilitate this, He has given us the assurance that He has shared in—and can relate to—all of the pain and hardship we as human beings endure in this life.

The journey the “Wise men” from the East took to worship the Christ child is similar to the journey that we each take in coming to Him. The gifts they brought inform us as to the things in our hearts that we should be willing to give to Him.
