DESCRIPTION:Join the Afro-American Cultural & Historical Society\, Tri-City Area & Hayward for the 45th annual Black History Month Observance in Newark. This year’s theme is “What Brought You to the Tri-City and Hayward Area?” where the organization will take a look back on the Great Migration of African Americans from the South and how many of our families found their way to California. AACHS will be showing “An Exploration of Our History\,” a film by award-winning filmmaker Doug Harris about the migration of blacks from the South to North Richmond.
